Psyche's Depression

Psyche was a beautiful young woman in Greek mythology who anger Aphrodite because she was the more beautiful of the two. Aphrodite sent her son Cupid to make Psyche fall in love with the ugliest man on earth therefore making herself seem more beautiful, but Cupid fell in love with Psyche and whisked her off to a secret place. Psyche's one great sin, though, was curiosity and since Cupid could not reveal himself because his mother would find him and Psyche, Psyche held a candle over his sleeping form and figured out who he was. Cupid fled, leaving Psyche alone and at Aphrodite's mercy. Aphrodite set out impossible tasks for Psyche to complete, yet the girl trucked on and eventually, she and Cupid were reunited and lived happily ever after.

That is pretty much my favorite Greek myth. Yup.
